    Arabica Roasters-Calling For Protect Environment On The World Earth Day
    Every year China celebrates World Earth Day, an annual event that takes place on the 22nd April. This year the theme is the economical use of resources and the promotion of greener living.

    Arabica Roasters is promoting World Earth Day with its Chinese certified organic coffee, packaged in 100% biodegradable bags. 
    Outside 

    As the awareness of environmental protection becomes more and more important, Arabica Roasters has teamed up with Outside Magazine to set up the ‘Wild Bean’ video competition. This is further supported by the Banff Film Festival and Thirst. 
     
    Project’s Theme: “Apart from your videos, don’t take anything away; apart from your footprints, don’t leave anything behind.”
     
    Project’s Aim: To raise awareness about environmental protection through the medium of film and to spread the message that all humans have the responsibilityto preserve our planet. We are all capable of taking the initiative. 
     
    Banff Film Festival
    Www.banffchina.com - The Banff Mountain Film Festival is regarded by outdoor enthusiasts, extreme sports enthusiasts, explorers and conservationists as the "Outdoor Film Oscars," where people come together in a Carnival atmosphere to celebrate outdoor documentaries and short films.

    Thirst 
    Thirst’s goals include changing the way young people use and value water, making people aware of global water crises. Thirst’s work started in China and is spreading around the world. Through the creation of a global network and campus activities, Thirst aims to educate 14-24 year olds on the importance of water conservation by providing positive, fun and accurate content about the water scarcity crisis. 

    Supporting Environmental Protection

    Since its founding, Arabica Roasters has always been committed to doing business in an eco-friendly manner in support of humanitarian and environmental issues. Arabica Roasters’ founder, Stuart Eunson, is currently the Vice President of the Jane Goodall Institute in Beijing; and he has made his commitment to environmental protection one of the core values of Arabica Roasters. 

    Arabica Roasters’ donates to and supports the environmental protection organization ‘Roots and Shoots.’ The organization builds a platform for passionate young people to be effective in taking practical action and making positive changes to the environment, communities andthe welfare of animals.

    Who is Jane Goodall? 
    Roots and shoots (www.genyuya.org.CN) founder, renowned biologist and messenger of the United Nations Dr Jane Goodall has been working in the African Bush since 1960.From studying Chimpanzees at the young age of 26 to becoming the environmental protection giant she is today at 80, Jane Goodall has affected people with her spirit and endeavour.   

    Pledge: Arabica Roasters coffee donates 10% of the Jane Goodall series coffee sales to the Jane Goodall Institute in China (www.jgiChina.org), to promote one of our core values--"Environmental stewardship through coffee."


    The Rainforest Alliance certification
    Arabica roasters coffee also attaches great importance to environmental responsibility. 100% of our products are obtained from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms that grow coffee sustainably.

    In order to receive Rainforest Alliance Certification, farms must ensure good conditions for farmers and employees and ensure that coffee-growing conditions are sustainable. Therefore, whenever you use Arabica Roasters coffee, you will be contributing to coffee farmers and their communities.
