Arabica Coffee Roasters makes three brands of coffees, all of which are trademarked. We also do a lot of custom roasting and blending of what we consider “private label” or OEM” products.

Arabica Roasters Brand Specialty Coffee

A truly specialty grade coffee. The Arabica Roasters brand is our pride and joy. We work hard to purchase the finest coffees available in the world for this brand. If you like coffee, you owe it to yourself to try some of these.

The Brand Ideal: Arabica Roasters brand is a little difficult to describe using because it stands for an ideal more than it stands for specific line or range of coffee. So we are going to attempt to describe our goal here, and hopefully through this description you will see the type of journey we want to provide you with as you enjoy coffees from this line.

Taste & Flavor Journey: to begin with, we understand that coffee lovers, true connoisseurs of coffee, enjoy not only one favorite coffee, but also the experience of experimenting with great new flavors, and and discovering new varietals which have tastes which are different from what they have had before. Therefore, one part of our goal for our Arabica Roasters brand is to have a constantly evolving range of coffees which people who enjoy the journey of discovery of taste can always find something new and exciting to taste.

Coffee Selections: so in our selection of coffees, we are always looking for something which is unique, and which different from other coffees easily available on the market. We work with many different green coffee suppliers, all over the world, to find coffees which we ourselves find interesting (interesting to both your palate, and also slightly more cerebrally, for those who enjoy the mental challenge of flavor discover). We buy and roast these coffees to a level which we believe brings out the most enjoyable aspects of the coffees flavors. We are frequently asked questions about our roast color (light, medium or dark). This question is very important, and certainly ties in with our brand ideal, however it is a longer conversation, and is more subjective, than we want to cover in this section of our brand introduction. Succinctly, we try our best to roast each coffee in this Arabica Roasters brand line to an ideal level for that bean.

Freshness of Coffee: this is a topic which we find fascinating, and slightly funny. There are lots of ideas about how freshly roasted coffee should be when you consume it. Obviously, fresh coffee is better than stale coffee. But is there such a thing as being too fresh? There is a lot of conversation about whether, after roasting, coffee should be let sit for a couple of days before it is brewed and drunk, or if it should be drunk immediately after roasting. The idea of letting it sit to "de-gas", and to "breath", is similar to decanting certain red wines before you drink them. After the roasting process is over, there is a chemical transformation which occurs inside the beans and which does continue for several days, and the coffee does in fact change flavor over that period of time. However, we firmly believe that you should drink coffee as freshly roasted as humanly possible. So even though the coffee does change flavor over the first few days, it is still delicious throughout that process, and if you should feel lucky if you can taste the coffee on the day it is roasted, and the next few days as the coffee continues to develop and evolve. It's part of the tasting process, and part of the enjoyment of being a coffee connoisseur. Also, and almost more importantly, almost no one can consume a bag of coffee at home in a day or two. So by the time you have bought the coffee, gotten it home, waited with bated breath for the next appropriate time to drink coffee and then started to drink it, you are generally already on day two or three after it was roasted, so it has already "degassed" enough by that time. You will be enjoying the coffee at the best time to do so. Again, we do recommend you try to taste the coffee as soon after it was roasted as possible, and then continue over the next several days, just so that you can enjoy the experience of the coffee flavor developing and evolving. For our Arabica Roasters brand coffees, we strive to ship the coffee to you within a day of when it was roasted so that you are able to enjoy it as freshly roasted as possible.

Social Responsibility: we believe strongly that companies and individuals should strive to give back to society in whatever way they can. At Arabica Roasters, we support the concepts of sustainability and of environmental protection. We carry products which are certified Fair Trade, we also have Chinese certified organic coffees, and we also have products which Support the Jane Goodall Institute here in China. Arabica Roasters’ varietals & blends;
-We do our best to source interesting, delicious and when we can, unique, varietals from all over the world so that you have the widest choice possible of amazing coffees to taste as travel your path of coffee flavor discovery.
-Our Arabica Roasters blends are made with the amazing varietals we source for this brand. Some of these blends are based on very traditional Italian espresso blends (but with 100% arabica coffees), some are based on blends from the Northwest and Northeast of the United States, and some are experimental, like our "coffee blend of the month", which we use new varietals to create new, fun, delicious coffee for our customers to experience for the first time with us. It is our goal that all of our blends in this brand allow our customers to enjoy a truly exceptional coffee experience.

Arabica Roasters certified Fair Trade Coffee: we were the first certified roaster of Fair Trade coffee in China. Selling Fair Trade coffees is one of the ways which we try to "live" our core values and support sustainable agriculture and business practices. You can find our more about this on our website.

Arabica Roasters certified Organic Coffee: it took us many years to become a certified Organic coffee roaster, but after many years of unsuccessful attempts, we were finally finished jumping through all the hoops, and are able to sell a certified organic coffee product here in China. This is one of the several ways which we "live" our core values by supporting sustainable agriculture and business practices.

Arabica Roasters Jane Goodall Coffees: we have several lines of coffee from which we donate a portion of the proceeds to the Jane Goodall Institute in China (“JGI China”). Through JGI China we support children’s education on environmental issues in schools around China. This is one of the ways which we "live" our core value of supporting sustainability and environmental protection.

Fresh Cup Brand Premium Coffee

Designed to be the “best in class” espresso, the Fresh Cup Brand line of coffees makes a great espresso at a reasonable price. It is also a flexible enough blend to be made with any coffee brewing equipment, and produce a great cup of coffee.

All of the products in the in Fresh Cup line are roasted and blended to be the best tasting coffees at their price points. The beans in the blends come from all over the world, including Africa, Central & South America, and Asia.

The Professionals’ Choice line is meant for the discerning F&B professional who wants an espresso which has a traditional Italian blend flavor profile. The difference between the II, III and V is just how “traditional” the blend is. These coffees do very well in blind tastings next to similarly priced offerings.

Morning Cup Brand Coffee

Blended from Asian coffee beans, Morning Cup is a smooth coffee, easy to afford, easy to handle yet rich in complexity. A mild, full city roast with soft notes of orange and apple, medium body, and the barest hints of dried sweetgrass on the nose and the finish. Perfect for a quick cup on the run or a long, lingering morning, Morning Cup often surprises by giving back more than is expected.

Designed to be a great all around coffee. If you are looking for one coffee to do it all at an affordable price, this is the brand line for you.

All of the products in the Morning Cup line are roasted and blended to be the best tasting coffees at their price points. The beans in the blends come from all over the world, including Africa, Central & South America, and Asia.

The Certified Organic Chinese Yunnan blend is one of the most affordable Certified Organic coffee products on the market. It is also one of the best tasting (in our modest opinion) at its price range.

The Professionals’ Choice line is meant for the discerning F &B professional who wants an espresso which has a traditional Italian blend flavor profile. The difference between the II, III and V is just how “traditional” the blend is. These coffees do very well in blind tastings next to similarly priced offerings.

The Economy Blend is meant to be one of the least expensive commercial coffee products in China. This is the product for customers who put price before all other considerations.
